About Me
Dogs have been my passion from a very young age. I became a qualified veterinary nurse in 1998 and enjoyed working in a veterinary environment, but I knew my main interest always lay with dogs. I rescued my Saluki "Bill" in Febuary 2000 at 9 months old. He had a very rough start in life with no training and came to me very nervous and unpredictable. Through him I started out on a journey training him and understanding how dogs learn.
I worked closely with dog trainers to learn the techniques and methods to help train Bill. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to go on more courses and to start my own training company, Dingley Dell!
Since 2000 I have seen so many different types of dogs and behaviours, and I really do enjoy working with owners to help train them to have happy, contented dogs.
I believe in teaching dogs through kind, positive methods to encourage the right behaviour, as well as teaching owners to be responsible and understand their dogs.
In 2010 I also started teaching dog agility at my farm in Pirbright. This this is a great, fun way for owners to bond with their dogs and to keep the dogs stimulated and fit!
All my classes are run in Pirbright in Surrey, where I have the use of farm facilities in a rural location, making the training as true to life as possible.I have the use of a lovely outside menage and a covered barn if the wether changes. I offer lots of different classes from puppies to adult dogs and also do one to one training for any behavioural problems. Please see the individual pages for more information.
